Hi, I’m James and I am the Principal of J’s Dance Factory Croydon.
Seeing young people develop their skills and physical attributes within dance is now my main motivator, and I can’t wait to see all of the students at Js Dance Factory progress and move on towards bigger and better things!
Presenting a fantastic opportunity for young people to grasp with both hands and flourish is what Croydon’s Js Dance Factory is all about!
I don’t run the branch alone and have an amazing Principal and creative director Jessica Hall.
Jess trained in New York at the Martha Graham Dance School before moving to London to train at Laban where she gained a BA (HONS) in Dance Theatre. Jessica then went onto tour nationally with ‘Marks.Set.Go!’ a work choreographed by Jules Laville as part of the Cultural Olympiad, her latest professional work includes a tour with Watkins Dance ’Angled Eye’ and being a company dancer for 3 years with Joss Arnott Dance on the ‘Dark Angel’ tour.
When Jessica graduated in 2010 she gained professional dance work with Willi Dorner ’Bodies in urban Spaces’ and Fluer Darkin Ensemble ‘Disgo’. In 2011 she toured Morocco, Madrid and Munich with ‘Crystaline’ an act created by the circus company Tumbellina
Jessica is now pursuing her career within dance education and lectures at a University.
The team at JDF Croydon are hugely excited to begin helping young people in and around Croydon to pursue their dancing dreams! See you soon.
Classes are held on Saturdays during school term time.
