Twenty-five talented J’s Dance Factory students performed at the Barbican Theatre for the KCL Diwali Show. It was a great opportunity for them to share the stage with some of the best Asian dance crews in the UK. Lots of fun was had by all. Well done to all who took part and thank you to all who helped chaperone.

Even though it poured with rain, tons of local people came out to support the girls who attend the Friday Night project! The girls did exceptionally well and it is hoped that this performance will be the first of many.

London Youth Dance Day

This year we rocked London Youth Dance Day like no other. We were there for the whole weekend. Newham got their first taste of the show on the Saturday, performing to crowds of other dance schools, parents and passers-by at the busy city hall. They did a fantastic job! On the Sunday it was Forest Hill’s turn. They also gave the audience a real treat! Well done to all who performed. To see videos of the performances click the links below.

House Of Commons

On Monday 23rd May, J’s Dance Factory founder Jessica Elliott was invited to the House of Commons by charity Kids Count to receive a special commendation for the work J’s Dance Factory and sister company Dancing After School do to improve the lives of children.

Both Jessica and the students had a fantastic time! The celebrations carried on into the night and was attended by numerous politicians and celebrity guests. It was a wonderfully inspiring event and a fantastic experience which the children will never forget.

Celebrity Football Match At Brentford FC

J’s Dance Factory were given the rather unique opportunity to perform at a celebrity football match. Players included Chipmunk, Jeff Brazier, DJ Spoony and Harvey from So Solid Crew to name a few. The celebs played against ex-professionals (who won the match!). The crowd really enjoyed the performance and the students had a fantastic time!
