Over the past 7 years we have trained nearly 300 dancers to become qualified dance teachers from all over the world. We love empowering our students to achieve their dreams and many have gone on to set up dance schools, open studios and run dance companies.
How would it feel for you to finally become a dance teacher?
How would it feel for you to open a dance school and teach hundreds of great students each week?
How would it feel to have an internationally recognised teaching qualification which allows you to work in schools, gyms and youth clubs?
Our IDTA (International Dance Teacher’s Association) Dance Teacher training course will allow you to do all of that and more.
The training is delivered over 2 days and is very intense but fun too and you are guaranteed to meet some great people. At least 2 years dance experience (this course is designed to teach you how to teach not how to dance)
A real want to learn attitude
Doing my IDTA dance teacher training with J’s Dance Factory was the start of a very special journey… I have always wanted to own my very own dance school. The course was intense but educational, not forgetting packed with lots of dance theory and practical. The group of people i was training with was perfect, the energy was phenomenal! Jessica gave me her all in putting me through my teachers, always talking in future tense about ‘when we own our own school’. However it was true, i did it!! With completing my IDTA award with Jessica Elliott at J’s Dance Factory, i opened my own school. It is situated in Kidbrooke- South East London and goes by the name of FYI Dance. This Opportunity not only gave me my very own dance school, creating dancers but, it created friendships with others on the course who will remain for life.Frankie
I completed the IDTA teacher training course in 2015. The course was an intensive 2 days training, which gave us all the information we needed to go away and study by ourselves before returning to take the exam. It was a clearly structured course and Jessica was always on hand if you had any questions.Ayse Denizli
After passing the exam with Honours, I went on to open my own dance school ‘Diverse Dance Works’ where I teach classes in many styles from Commercial, Street, Lyrical, Jazz, Contemporary, Latin Line and more to all ages of dancers. In our first year we have already done competitions, shows, been invited to perform at local events and our students are currently working towards our first medalist exam session.
I’ve since taken more professional exams as I am continuing up the professional ladder and couldn’t be happier having my dream job.
Taking the course really got the ball rolling for me. It allowed me to believe in myself and gave me the confidence to pursue my dream; opening up my very own dance school! It reassured all the points that I had previously addressed and pushed me to make a start with my life goals. I also met some gorgeous girls and established some great friendships, which really helped to support each other not only socially but professionally. We all help each other still to this very day, even if it’s a phone call for a catch up or professional help regarding the business aspect of dancing.Samie-Jo
